The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai: Across the 8th Dimension
This is a very odd movie. Jeff plays a character called "New Jersey" and is mostly seen in a cowboy getup. Peter Weller is Buckaroo, an acclaimed neurosurgeon, particle physicist, and rock star. He has a few side kicks, including Jeff, called the Hong Kong Cavaliers. Buckaroo's interdimensional experiments with his Operation Overthruster throw him and his friends straight into the middle of an alien war, and before you know it, they've got just a few hours to save the world. What the hell am I talking about? Well, you kinda have to see this movie...really you do. It's not really easy to explain. I've seen it many times and I still can't explain it. This movie has a large cult following with tons of fan-fiction and fan art on the web. It's one of those movies that you either love or hate but you've got to see it at least once. Personally, I think it's great. It's got some great humor in it and the oddness of it all makes it very likeable. However, since it's kind of hard for normal people get a grasp on I'll give it 3 stars. It rates:  (out of 5)
